Definition

In accordance with EU directive 2011/85 from 8. November 2011 on the collection and dissemination of fiscal data, the Slovak Republic publishes data on liabilities and participation in the capital of corporations owned by general government.

Data was compiled from the corporations’ individual financial statements. For liabilities calculation, the public corporations are defined as corporations with the ratio of public ownership of 50 % and more. The minimum threshold for equity size was applied for the calculation of participation in the capital; data for corporations owned by general government was included in the calculations only if the ratio of public ownership was 20 % and more. For the corporations partially owned by general government, only the part of liabilities or equity corresponding to the government participation in the capital was taken into account. Public corporations classified within the general government sector were excluded from calculations.

Data are published in million euro for liabilities and as percentage of GDP for participation on capital.
